StatsDash Privacy Policy

StatsDash ("we", "us", or "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address and a unique user ID used to identify your account.
• Profile information. A display name and an optional profile photo used to identify you on the leaderboard. Your display name defaults to the name from your Apple or Google account, and your photo defaults to your Google account photo where available. You can change or remove either at any time in Settings.
• Fitness data you enter. The workouts and lifts you log, your bodyweight entries, your 15-calorie sprint times, and your calorie/nutrition logs.
• Apple Health data. With your permission, we read your Active Energy Burned from Apple Health to display alongside your calorie log. We do not write data to Apple Health, and we never use Health data for advertising or share it with third parties for marketing.
• Nutrition-label photos. When you scan a nutrition label, the image is sent to Google's Gemini API to read the nutritional values. The image is used only to extract those values and is not stored by StatsDash. Processing by Google is subject to Google's own terms and privacy policy.

Leaderboard and social features

StatsDash includes public leaderboards that rank users by their lifts and 15-calorie sprint times. Sharing is on by default. When enabled, the following is visible to other signed-in StatsDash users:

• Your display name and profile photo.
• Your best result for each exercise and each sprint machine.
• Your bodyweight and sex, which are used to rank strength relative to bodyweight and are part of your leaderboard entry.

Your detailed workout history, individual calorie and nutrition logs, email address, and Apple Health data are never shown on the leaderboard.

You can stop sharing at any time in Settings → Leaderboard by turning off "Share my stats," which removes you from the public leaderboards. You may also follow other users so you can compare against just the people you choose.

How we use your information

We use your information to provide the app's features — tracking your lifts, bodyweight, sprints, and calories, syncing your data across your devices, and, if you opt in, ranking you on the public leaderboard as described above. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Where your data is stored

Your account and fitness data are stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), and profile photos are stored using Google Firebase Storage. Nutrition-label images are processed in transit by Google's Gemini API and are not retained by us.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data — including your leaderboard entry and profile photo — at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete Account), or by contacting us at the email below. We will delete your data promptly upon request.

Children's privacy

StatsDash is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
